Many preppers have to commute into a city for their job. This can complicate things if an SHTF event happens while they're in work. But even the most complicated get home journeys can be successful with the right planning. This is where a good Area Study comes in.

The Urban Operator Area Study Workbook is a complete guide for preppers who work in major cities and need to get home to their family.

The Urban Operator Area Study Workbook analyzes four key areas:

  1. Climate and natural disaster risk
  2. Physical terrain and security considerations
  3. Social environment, crime and gangs
  4. Critical infrastructure

Your get home journey may take you through several urban and suburban environments. Each area can be analyzed to help map out the safest route home.

This workbook is available in PowerPoint and Keynote formats. It contains 70 editable slides. Each slide contains a link to websites where you can grab updated screenshots for the area you are studying. When you're done, just print out the workbook and you have your completed area study.

FAQs

How long does an Area Study take to complete?

An Area Study can be as simple or as detailed as you like.

Our workbooks contain between 125-150 pages, so plan on 2-3 hours to update the majority of the workbook with your local information.

After that there will be some areas, such as collecting neighbor information and research local groups that could take a long time if you're new to an area, or could be pretty quick if you already know your area well.

What tools do I need for my Area Study?

The minimum tools you will need is PowerPoint or Keynote, an Internet connection and Google Maps.

We recommend some premium tools like Gaiagps.com and truthfinder.com that have monthly subscription fees, but aren't necessary for the basic study.

We highly recommend printing out a physical copy of your Area Study once complete.

I need help with my Area Study

If you can't open the workbook on your computer, or there's a technical issue you need help with, please get in touch.

If you need help completing your Area Study because you're stuck on a section, or could use an extra hand getting it done quickly, you can setup a quick consulting session to work through whatever issues you're facing.

Can I share this workbook with my team?

Feel free to share access to your workbook so your team can collaborate on your Area Study, but if friends or family is interested in performing their own Area Study, please encourage them to purchase their own version of the workbook.

We will be relying on the honor system here, as there's no way to prevent you from sharing a copy with others, but we've spent a lot of time and effort to bring you this workbook, and we would kindly ask you not to share it with others.

Is there a refund policy?

The workbook is a digital product, so once you download it, it's yours.

However, if you're not happy for some reason, get in touch and we'll make it right.

This is EXACTLY what I needed

I've been working in the city for years, and I had a rough plan on how I would walk home if things went sideways, but hasn't really planned things out to this level of detail.

Next step is to do a test run of my plan and see where the holes are.
